Background research on Cholesteren:
Homoeopathic research in France has shown in several studies investigating the cholesterol-lowering properties of homoeopathic Colchicum Autumnale that the reduction in total cholesterol was, on average, 0.55gm in ten days, without any other medical or dietary interventions.
In one other study, it indicated that Colchicum reduced fats in the blood by 10-20% and produced a similar overall percentage reduction in cholesterol levels. Patients have been treated with this substance for three years or more and continue to maintain normal cholesterol levels.
A double blind clinical research trial evaluated the effectiveness of homoeopathic Cholesterinum in the treatment of high cholesterol. Special attention was paid to its effect on total cholesterol levels (TC levels) and the high-density lipoprotein cholesterol/low density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C/LDL-C) ratio. The results of the trial showed that 81.5% of the experimental group experienced an improvement in their total cholesterol levels compared to 68.75% of the control group.
Further statistical evaluation revealed a significant difference between the initial total cholesterol reading of the treated and placebo groups. This significant difference was maintained after the first month of treatment.
What happens if my symptoms get Worse?
Sometimes when there is a re-balancing of the body taking place an aggravation or die-back may occur. This is the clearing out of toxins from the body and it is a desirable effect. The symptoms for this can be flu-like or a rash may appear. If this happens it is best to stop the medication, drink plenty of water and wait for the symptoms to go. This may take a few days. When they have cleared it is safe to start the medication again.
